Featuring the Marquis de Carabas, from Neverwhere, written by Neil Gaiman.
The Marquis has always been one of my favorite characters, and I really like the graphic-novel version of him. His skin is actually pitch-black, his lips bright red and his hair pure white. He looks fantastic.
This is just a quick practice sketch, trying to get the feel of my japanese brush pen. It's fun but fiddly to use, I prefer to write with it (in japanese).
You did a NICE job with him. I could never pick a favorite character of Neil's. Oh do you read his blog?

yeah, I prefer brush pens to do shading instead of straight line-arting... or maybe do line-widthing too...^^ maybe you might like it better that ways ^^
but the braid looks very good ^^

As of recent, the talented =Behana has joined us in bringing you this weekly newsletter and we are excited to have her on board. This is a special feature, with a selection of 50 manips from the past year that we loved.
