I've had some great idea's from people for the backgrounds of Rouge and Shadow - thanks!
I think I'll go with sparkly things for Rouge, and have a look to find the Biohazard symbol for Shadow. I'm going to be putting the Emeralds on Knuckles BG, Rings on Sonic's and (just to be wierd) a spanner in Tails' BG
I'm looking at doing the new characters as well (Jet, Wave, Blaze, Silver and a couple of others, Like Cream and Tikal) so that should be fun to figure out BGs for o0

Here's Amy in all her glory.
I sorta designed a new outfit - I took inspiration from the look for Sonic Riders, with a hint to her original look. I did her in red and green, firstly because of the hint of her past and secondly, because I hate always seeing her in pink, or JUST red o0
I mean, she IS pink, she doesn't need more of it - and the red gets a little dull after a while - so I livenned it up a bit.
The zipper is supposed to be that way round on her top - it does downwards, rather than upwards (I know, wierd, but I thought it was cool)
I actually rather like the shoes she has now o0 Much better looking than those boots and fun to draw ^^
Anyway - hope you like!

Edit Note: Sorry - can't sell this as a print here through DA - but if you want one, note me and I'll create a print for you. £10 / $20
Wow, that was quick!
The first thing that comes to mind is that the colours seem to be a bit bleached out. I'm not saying this because I think that traditional media are not as good as digital ones - but because more vibrant colours are very much possible with crayons.
Also I somewhat expected more different colours.
Oh, goodness, I guess I'm being to negative here... sorry...
Because: the actual colouring job you did is really good. You used some nice shading and the fades from one colour to the next on the clothes are beautifully mastered. So all in all technique-wise the picture is and remains interesting.
I guess I should go to be and sleep off all that negativity... *winks sleepily*

But shouldn't that make the colours brighter too? Ah well - never mind. I'll just look forward to your other drawings and shut up for now with my nagging.

This newsletter was "born" back in March 2007, from a conversation between ~Lareth and =FrozenStarRo, who with the help of their friends *Iardacil and =Sylwiaa , wanted to make something to promote known and unknown photomanipulators alike here on DeviantArt. As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same. As of recent, the talented =Behana has joined us in bringing you this weekly newsletter and we are excited to have her on board. This is a special feature, with a selection of 50 manips from the past year that we loved.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
